Pagoda Norfolk Engagement | Katie and Chris

Pagoda Norfolk Engagement Katie and Chris Katie and Chris are getting married! They were the winners of my Engagement Session Giveaway and I am so happy they won! They are naturals in front of each other and the camera. We did the Pagoda during one of the crazies times of the year in Norfolk. Do you know that little festival they do called Harborfest? Yep, we are brave like that. Fortunately, it wasn’t that crazy in our area and I got to create a lovely Harbofest image my way. There is a lot of smooching coming, so brave yourselves.  Can I say the main image is one of my favorites from…

Norfolk Waterside Engagement Session | Michelle & Keith

Waterside Engagement Session Michelle & Keith   Michelle & Keith are getting married!  I can tell you they are indeed two sweet souls. They’ve found in each other an enduring love. One with support and understanding. Keith is a true gentleman as he caters to Michelle and she reciprocates with love and smiles.  I love to hear how my couples meet, so of course, I always ask. I will shortly tell you their story, one that reminds you that when someone is for you, well, they’ll answer your message.  How they met One fateful day, Keith was scrolling through his friend list online and eventually stumbled on Michelle’s beauty. He took…

Norfolk Freemason Engagement | Cassandra and Seth

Norfolk Freemason Engagement Cassandra and Seth   Cassandra and Seth decided to have their Norfolk Freemason Engagement close their Ghent home, and I couldn’t have been more happier! The cobblestone streets in Downtown Norfolk are one of my favorites to photograph. You always find little spots of greatness in between the beautiful architecture. As a couple who loves to ride bikes and walk their cutest puppy, Rudy, around Ghent, it just made sense. Cassandra and Seth met in 2015 thanks to Tinder and after a nice first date at No Frill Bar & Grill in Ghent they hit it off. By the end of last year, Seth made if official by taking…

Norfolk Neon District Engagement Session | Chastity + Antoine

Norfolk Neon District Engagement Session Chastity + Antoine This Norfolk Neon District Engagement Session had me go full Urban and I am so in love with it! When my couples pick the right place, they are relaxed and they rock it. Chastity and Antoine decided on Norfolk Neon District  for their engagement photos. We walked around a couple blocks of the Neon District area with the idea of finishing around the Padoga Garden for some sunset and nighttime portraits, which of course I love to do. Their story They met four years ago and Antoine knew what he liked! Of course, Chastity couldn’t resist the self proclaimed beauty-god and finally caved in…

Hampton University Engagement | Jaime + Sean | Emancipation Oak Tree

2016 Jaime and Sean’s love started when, according to Sean, Jaime stole his library seating spot while both attending Hampton University. They hit it off and started dating shortly after that. Proposal: On what seemed like a regular day, Sean took Jaime to have a manicure, pedicure and a massage (seriously, ladies!) and with the excuse of venue searching walked Fort Monroe where they ended up on the top of the Chamberlin. Next thing Jaime sees is Sean on one knee asking her to be his wife. Shocked and excited, of course, she said yes! They will be getting married next May at the Chamberlin (how appropriate!) Session: They choose…

Narketta + Ricky: Olde Towne Portsmouth Engagement Session

2014 Narketta and Ricky met online and are quite perfect for each other. They enjoy similar things and are very down to earth. Besides enjoying some coffee and romantic sunset viewing together, they also love to laugh (noticed?) and joke around. It was interesting trying to get Narketta serious on any of these pictures but when you are in love, best to let the heart follow. They decided to do their Engagement session at Olde Towne Portsmouth for its beautiful streets and urban feel. A place that truly matches them. We met on a cold morning. Love Narketta’s coat. I am completely honored that Narketta loves her images so much,…

Lindley + Jacques: Downtown Norfolk Engagement

2014 I love seeing Lindley and Jacques smile. I do, I do! They are super fun and well, “hello gorgeous legs”! (Sorry Jacques, you were wearing jeans so  I can’t comment on that). This was a very cloudy day. No sun to be found anywhere, yet the colors were so rich, beautiful and romantic.  The rain was following us and I was so in the moment that didn’t realize it rained in the last couple of images until I had shot the last one. Then it poured! Sadly I was already in my car but I secretly wished I would have stayed a little longer. Lindley and Jacques got wet…

Hannah + Daniel: Olde Town Portsmouth Engagement

2014 Hannah & Daniel are super fun. They enjoy laughing and just being goofy. They have a long-distance relationship for now so Hannah came this weekend to see her love and surprise him with an engagement session. Now, most men would be all “I don’t want to do this!” but Daniel was all for it. With the light almost gone we decided to try some night shots. I loved the last image in this set. It is romantic and true. It shows exactly how dark it was and how bright that sunset was. I took a couple without the cars coming but I always think a city image is not…
