I always find interesting to learn how my couples met. Sometimes I have High School sweethearts while other times, I have strangers to happened to meet. From apps to online dating, the gap between people has gotten smaller and smaller. There is no longer the need to wonder if your soul mate is indeed on the other side of the world. Because I am sure you enjoy crazy stories as much as I do, let me tell you how Yvette and Chris met. How they met: Facebook. Yep, and in the most random kind of way. There were in a Church Facebook Group as strangers. So one day, Chris wrote…

Rudee Inlet Engagement | Ingrid & Juan
Rudee Inlet Engagement Session Ingrid & Juan This Rudee Inlet Engagement was out of the norm. There were guinea pigs and if you know me, you’ll know I love guinea pigs! I was so excited when Ingrid mentioned wanting to integrate these two adorable Cavia porcellus. They were so good! Even with the moody weather. When we arrived to Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, it was hot. That is, extremely hot. Then, all of the sudden, a cold wind came out of nowhere freezing us all. It stayed like that for quite some time during Ingrid and Juan’s engagement session, but you wouldn’t know because they rocked it. Ingrid and Juan…

Akira + Alton : A Virginia Beach Engagement
Virginia Beach Engagement Session Alton + Akira 2016 This Virginia Beach Engagement Session started with a bump… After Alton bumped into Akira, not once but twice, during a friend’s outing. They’ve been inseparable while long distances texting and talking often to learn more about each other. However, Alton knew what he wanted and one day with rose petals on the ground, lit candles, and a huge banner with “Akira, will you marry me?” he asked Akira to be his Forever and of course, she said “Yes!”. They’ll be tying the knot next year at The Oceanaire in Virginia Beach so stay tuned for those gorgeous images.

Hillary + Matt: Engagement at Chic’s Beach and Bayville Farms Park
2016 Texas girl finds her match! On a cold day in December, Matt asked Hillary to their spot on Chic’s beach. They walked and talked while Hillary clutched to Matt’s warmth. Matt knew this was the moment. He had the ring, he had the words, he had it all. As he got down to one knee and told Hillary of his love, he asked her for a full life of love under a beautiful pink sunset. Of course, she said yes! They have gone to romantic pizza and wine dates walks on the beach and spontaneous trips to see their favorite Red Sox games. They are loving, supportive, and fun…

Scarlett + Dino: A First Landing Park Engagement Session
A First Landing Park Engagement Session Scarlett and Dino 2015 Scarlett & Dino are getting married! Back in November, I was invited to document my first Homecoming. It was cold like no other day, it was crowded and it was super early! I watched Scarlett wait for her love Dino under those conditions. She didn’t care, her excitement was so contagious, I didn’t care either. Then, a couple of months later I received THE email. Yes, Dino had proposed and they wanted me to document their celebration. Of course, I said Yes! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session at First Landing Park. This time around there…

Lindley + Jacques: A Fort Monroe Engagement
2015 You may be like, “wait, I know this couple!”. And yes, yes you do. Lindley & Jacques had an overcast, rainy Downtown Norfolk Engagement session last November. We thought it would be fun, and we were right, to have another engagement session before their wedding celebration in August. The sun was in our favor! Here are some of my favorites.
