Norfolk Botanical Garden Wedding | Kimberly + Brett

Kimberly and Brett’s Norfolk Botanical Garden Wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was HOT but then again so is them. Brett is a gentleman and when he interacts with Kimberly. It is like watching two lovers from the 50s. Polite, sweet and old-fashioned love. When I asked Kimberly how they would describe themselves as a couple, she wrote, “Loving, caring, fun, & respectful”. I couldn’t agree more. You could see their love and care as they walked together. They are also quite creative as their centerpieces were DIY.

Kim’s grandmother’s 80 years birthday was the same day so of course, they surprised her with her own cake and everybody sang “Happy Birthday”. Her grandmother is a super sweet woman but a pretty tough cookie if you ask me. Her first comment when she saw me was, “Is she reliable?”. haha Gotta love honesty. The family has not been so lucky with other Wedding Photographers and I am sure it was unnerving to go through another wedding wondering what if, … but lucky for them they got me!

I love it when couples make sure to have plenty of time for Formals & Couple’s portraits before the Reception. Kim and Brett made sure to plan ahead and have time for their images, so we spent a little time by the Sarah Lee Baker Perennial Garden at the Norfolk Botanical Garden and got some gorgeous images.
