A Pagoda Garden Engagement Session in Downtown Norfolk​

When you get proposed by the Koi pond of the Pagoda garden, what better way to celebrate your engagement than to have photos there! 

I often photograph couples in this area and always find new ways to tell their story. I’ve even had couples that their session on the same spot years apart! It is always challenging and fun to get new angles to try. Besides the new Hummingbird Macaroons Bakery is right in the center of all, so why not spend more and more time in the garden! Very unrelated, but if you haven’t stopped by and tried their macaroons, you are missing the best in the area. 

I love it when couples commit to the weather and their love. Although we had to reschedule due to rain, we were not about to let some cold crazy wind cancel our plans. So, off we went some pictures in the dead cold! The colors were popping and I was loving it. This fall season was kind of underwhelming since you could rarely find a nice colorful spot but not in Downtown because we had the most beautiful fall colors a photographer could ask for.

If I could summarize Ashley and Kelley, I would describe them as joyful. They are fun, so easy going and a delight to photograph and be around. Their laugh is contagious and their complaints about the weather were none. haha So they are A-O-K in my book.
