Casey & AJ<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been having some great VB Oceanfront Engagement sessions lately!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I met Casey and AJ and learned they are first responders my thought went straight to their kids. I don’t know why! I imagined their children all proud and boasting about their parents and the community service they do every day. See, Casey is a police officer while AJ is a fireman. What a hot combination! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are incredibly giving towards each other and yet honest and complete. Their love for their family, friends and the community is palpable. Mix that with their love for their two pups, the open ocean and all things nautical and you the beautiful start of a legacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I am so behind on blogging, their wedding just happened this past year at the Water Table.<\/a> So, stay tuned for those gorgeous nautical accents that were incorporated into their wedding day. For now, enjoy some of their engagement sessions and a little of their story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How they met according to Casey…<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our first date was definitely one to remember! AJ picked me up at my parent’s house while I was on Spring Break from VMI. He came out of the Jeep wearing khaki pants, striped collared shirt, boat shoes, and the hat that he always wears. He opened my door for me (at this point I was thinking, “this could be good!”) and we went to Texas Roadhouse. I ordered a Chicken Salad and water!! Anyone who knows me knows that I would order a steak over a salad any day! That night I did not eat any of those delicious rolls with that amazing cinnamon butter. I was so nervous that I barely ate. AJ only ate one roll but ordered the same meal he would later order every time we went. When he ordered his salad and said no dressing\u2026I began to worry\u2026only a serial killer eats a salad with no dressing. (Disclaimer: Casey is a police officer!<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there we went to Dave and Buster’s, where AJ won me a Minion. After that night, it has been a crazy adventure. I have since learned to wakeboard, AJ has learned how to ride a horse and how to be the perfect horse show boyfriend! We have grown together as a couple. I looked forward to the day that I get to call him my husband. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
